28w5d

Wow - it must be a good month (or a very boring month) in that I've posted two posts so close together. Essentially you can guarantee that if I haven't posted, nothing notable has happened.

The reason for today's post (which is of course 2 days overdue of when this 'notable' event occurred) is that I've noticed that my linea negra has appeared. Now our last pg that line didn't actually appear until 2 days after we delivered (weird I know). This time around it appeared (though faint yet) at 28weeks and 3 days.

What is a linea negra you ask??? Its that funky thin tan line that stretches from the top of my belly to the bottom. Its pretty neat. Its perfectly straight except for one little diveation around my old naval ring hole so that the end results looks like a Saskatchewan road curving around either a small swamp or other feature and continuing on straight as an arrow after the deviation.

Dwayne and I pondered for a while as to what the heck this linea negra is for. I mean, a baby can't see (if it was a 'map' for where the baby needs to go upon delivery for food - though I like to think I'll help the little buggar out when the time comes), nor is the line 'hairy'er' than anywhere else on my body...so not using brail reliance there.

We have no concrete reason though Dwayne's theory is that it may smell different (yes, it sounded far fetched to me too).

That's about all for now. See you in another month??? (kidding... I think)
